Glover Park
Dating back to the 1920s, Glover Park is a piece of Washington DC history; Teddy Roosevelt went foxhunting in the area and Harry Truman played cards with his buddies here. Located just north of Georgetown, it is a family-friendly area perched on a hill above the Potomac River.
- The neighborhood consists of townhouses and apartment buildings. Living in Glover Park is a combination of that "hometown" feeling and the convenience of city living.
- The commercial area of Wisconsin Avenue provides convenient access to endless dining and shopping options.
- Don't let the sleepy, small-town feeling of Glover Park fool you; this is still in the most powerful city in the world. Most Glover Park residents hear the synchronization of the master clock coming from the Naval Observatory (Vice Presidential residence) twice every day.
- Glover Park is next to Burleith, a residential area sometimes considered to be its own neighborhood. Walking distance to the Wisconsin Avenue and M Street shopping, Burleith is home of the Hillendale gated community.
