Georgetown
Bordered by Burleith and Glover Park, Georgetown is one of the most famous and pricier neighborhoods in Washington DC. Known predominantly for its large number of vintage townhouses, Georgetown also features rental apartments.
- Georgetown has many bars and restaurants, which are populated by large numbers of Georgetown University and GWU students at night and especially on weekends.
- From high-end boutiques to H&M and Zara, the M Street and Wisconsin Avenue shopping corridors features stores fit for every taste and budget.
- Volta Park, Rose Park and Montrose Park are go-to spots for a game of basketball, baseball or tennis. Joggers and bikers can take advantage of Georgetown's canal towpath.
- Georgetown does not have its own metro stop; the closest one is Foggy Bottom-GWU (blue and orange lines.) Fortunately, several metro bus routes, the Circulator bus and the Georgetown Metro Connection bus can get you to many other parts of DC quickly.
- The waterfront area in Georgetown is a popular destination for bar and restaurant goers, particularly during warmer seasons. Adjacent to the waterfront is AMC Loews movie theater, one of the area's largest.
